January 2007, CPI acquired Robix, one of the
world’s leading processors of high-
tech polymer materials which has developed unique
processes to generate an
interesting range of shapes
in special polymer alloys with exceptional
properties.
The moulding processes
include injection, transfer moulding and extrusion.
Robix has built up specialist knowledge for moulding
large section products in the
form of tubes, rods, plates
and other shapes which place the company into a
unique
position in the plastics
moulding industry.
The
materials processed are wide ranging in properties
and applications but include
all the main engineering,
high performance and ultra polymers, both amorphous
and
semi-crystalline. Robix
specialises in small batches of these polymers
demanding
custom grades with
specialist applications. As such they are unique as
the only semi-
finished supplier for many
specialist grades.
Robix products and materials are used in the high
tech engineering industries,
aerospace, medical and
other industries.
